Graduation Continues Through Saturday

Comprehensive high schools will hold ceremonies at Tingley Coliseum; ceremonies for schools of choice will be at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

Albuquerque High will kick off the comprehensive high school graduations at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 15. The Del Norte Knights will be the final Class of 2017 to get their diplomas at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20.

The 2017 graduation schedule for comprehensive APS high schools is as follows:

  • Monday, May 15: Albuquerque High, 2:30 p.m.; Rio Grande, 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 16: Manzano, 2:30 p.m.; Atrisco Heritage Academy, 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 17: Eldorado, 2:30 p.m.; La Cueva, 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 18: Volcano Vista, 2:30 p.m.; West Mesa, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, May 19: Cibola, 2:30 p.m.; Valley, 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 20: Highland, 10:30 a.m.; Sandia, 2:30 p.m; Del Norte, 6:30 p.m.

The 2017 graduation schedule for APS Schools of Choice (alternative schools) is as follows:

  •  Saturday, May 6: College and Career High School, noon
  • Monday, May 15: eCademy, 10:30 a.m.; nex+Gen Academy, 1:30 p.m.; Transition Services, 4:30 p.m.; School on Wheels, 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 16: New Futures, 1:30 p.m.; Freedom High, 4:30 p.m.; Early College Academy, 7:30 p.m.

Graduates of the Career Enrichment Center nursing program will participate in a pinning ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the UNM Continuing Education Conference Center.

The Black Student Union Rite of Passage Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 13, at 6 p.m. at the Sheryl Williams Stapleton Performing Arts Center.
