Be a Flu Fighter

APS employees and their families can get flu shots during the Health and Wellness Fair on Friday. Oct. 12.

Getting a flu shot is the right thing to do, not just for your family but for our whole community.  According to the New Mexico Department of Health, “Getting a flu shot helps protect you from getting the flu and prevents you from passing it to people who could get very sick. Vaccinating not only protects ourselves but also protects the people around us.”

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designated last year’s flu season as “high severity” across all age groups – the first year that’s happened. Let’s help APS do its part in keeping Albuquerque healthy this year.

The 2018 APS Health & Wellness Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at City Centre (the APS administration building), 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE.

The fair will include:

Vendors include:

  • The Railyards Market, Downtown Growers Market and Corrales Market
  • APS benefit plan providers
  • City of Albuquerque's Bike Rodeo
  • Reclaimed Rubble
  • Dar A Luz
  • Sports Medicine Clinic
  • Jewelry by Doreen Garten
  • Carnivore Popcorn Company
  • Vivascents
  • DoTerra
  • Elevation Counseling

Oct. 12 is the Friday of fall break, so come and enjoy with your friends and family.
