Online Volunteer Application Now Available in Spanish

The number of volunteers has more than doubled since the district started using the online application at the beginning of the school year.

¡Las escuelas publicas de Alburquerque quien su ayuda!

Ahora esta mas facil que nunca sirvir como voluntario en APS. Si usted quere ser voluntario(a) puedes complir el nuevo applicacion en español en el sitio de web de APS.

(Translation: APS wants you! And now it’s easier than ever to become an APS volunteer thanks to a new online application in Spanish.)

Since switching to an online volunteer application at the beginning of the school year, nearly 4,500 volunteers have signed up to work in schools, classrooms and with students throughout the district. That's an increase of more than 60 percent from the same time last year.

And now, we've made the process even more convenient by providing a Spanish application as well.

Simply go to, register, fill out the application and pay the $12 processing fee (credit and debit cards accepted). Those who pass the background check will be able to start volunteering at APS schools within 10 business days.

The online application is part of an ongoing effort to make it easier for parents and others to volunteer in schools while keeping students safe. Those who don’t have access to computers can still come to the APS administrative offices at 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE to fill out the volunteer application, or they can go to their child’s school, where computers will be made available.
