Los Padillas, Lowell, Atrisco and Bellehaven set for 2012-13.

May 15, 2012

The Albuquerque Public Schools has named new principals at four elementary schools in the district for the 2012-13 school year.

Mary Ellen Farrelly, currently principal at Emerson Elementary, has been named principal at Los Padillas Elementary for the 2012-13 school year. Farrelly replaces Sara Keeney, who is retiring after 11 years at Los Padillas.

Three other elementary school principals who had been serving at their respective schools in interim capacities were named permanent principals at their schools.

Tony Rodriguez was named principal at Atrisco Elementary, where he had been serving since July 2011.

Cynthia Hale was named principal at Lowell Elementary, where she had been serving since the start of the 2011-12 school year.

DeAnza Baker was named principal at Bellehaven Elementary, where she had been serving since April.

“We believe all these individuals will serve the communities at these schools well,” said APS Superintendent Winston Brooks.
