APS Hosts Candidate Forums on Wednesday, Thursday

19 candidates are vying for four seats on the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education.

Albuquerque Public Schools is hosting candidate forums on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and Thursday, Jan. 12, to give those vying for four seats on the Board of Education a chance to share their thoughts with voters.

Voters are electing board members in districts 3, 5, 6 and 7. Early voting begins Wednesday, Jan. 18. The election is Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The forums will be broadcast live on KANW 89.1 FM and online at KANW.com.

All candidate forums will be held in at the APS administration building, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE.   

The forum for District 5 representing the West Mesa will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Candidates are:

The forum for District 7 representing the far Northeast Heights will be at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Early voting runs through Feb. 4. Eligible voters may cast ballots at any of the 12 locations. Early voting sites.
