APS Board of Education Candidate Information

Filing Day is Dec. 16; Election set Feb. 3

[Albuquerque, NM]—Voters in the Albuquerque Public Schools district will go to the polls to elect board of education representatives in districts 3, 5, 6 and 7.
The filing date for candidates is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the Bernalillo County clerk’s office.
The school election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009.
The district 3 seat, which includes the north valley area of Albuquerque, is currently held by Berna Facio.
The district 5 seat, which includes the near northeast and southeast heights, is currently held by Paula Maes.
The district 6 seat, which includes the far southeast heights and the east mountains, is currently held by Mary Lee Martin.
The district 7 seat, which includes the far northeast heights, is currently held by Jon Barela.
