The APS Science Distribution Center provides the adopted science program for all APS elementary schools. The Science Distribution Center delivers fully-stocked science kits containing hands-on activities in the areas of Life, Physical, and Earth Science. The science kits are fully aligned with state standards and benchmarks and are designed to expand knowledge in each strand of science as the student progresses through elementary school.

Currently, more than 1500 teachers and their students use Center for Hands on Learning kits provided by the Science Distribution Center.

Science Distribution Center staff stock, schedule, and distribute the kits to schools according to a pre-determined schedule. When the kits have been used for instruction, Science Center staff arranges for kits to be picked up and refurbished so they can be re-used. This process allows teachers to focus their classroom time on instruction.

Have Questions?
Teachers and schools receiving kits from the Science Distribution Center can call 883-9148 with questions about scheduling and logistics.
