Destiny

Destiny is the web-based district library catalog program. It allows searching of your library’s books (print and electronic), as well as online databases. For middle and high schools it can also be used as a web search engine.

The URL for Destiny is

http://library.aps.edu

To use the catalog, select your school from the list.  You may wish to Bookmark this location for ease of access.

Students and teachers can keep track of materials they’ve checked out, and add reviews of books they’ve read.  Destiny will also create bibliographies and citations.  Teachers can use Destiny to request materials from the district Multimedia Library.

Destiny has two versions: Destiny Quest, and Destiny Classic.  Most students and teachers will use Destiny Quest to search for library books and resources.  Destiny Quest is also available as an App for iPad and Android tablets (and smart phones).  Destiny Classic is used by librarians for circulation and management.  Teachers can also use Classic for creating Resource Lists for students, and for requesting Multimedia Library materials.

Most everyday features of Destiny can be used without logging in.  Logging makes additional features available, including checking your library record, saving lists of materials, placing holds on materials, and submitting reviews of books and videos.  Teachers will need to login to request Multimedia Library materials.

Please contact your school’s librarian for log-in information and additional help with Destiny.
