E.G. Ross Elementary Library Wins Outstanding Library Award

Josh Benjamin, Librarian at E.G. Ross Elementary, is the recipient of the Outstanding Elementary School Library award.

The New Mexico Library Association has named E.G. Ross's library the Outstanding Elementary School Library for 2013.  Librarian Josh Benjamin’s commitment to his students and school community is evident in the way he empowers his students to take ownership of their library, seeks out additional funding opportunities, and develops engaging lessons.  Josh says his goal is three-fold: to turn students into lifelong readers who enjoy books and the act of reading, to create positive experiences of the library, and to teach the importance of libraries while maintaining a high level of enjoyment during the time students are in the library.  Congratulations, Josh!
