2018 Cultural Enrichment and MS Robotics Program

IED 2018 Summer Programs

The Indian Education Department is now registering qualified Native American Students for our Cultural Enrichment and Middle School Robotics Programs to be held during the month of June 2018.

Where:  APS Indian Education Department Summer School Programs will be held at Valley High School, 1505 Candelaria Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

When: June 4, 2018 to June 28, 2018.  Monday to Thursday, 8:00AM to 12:00PM

Cultural Enrichment Classes being offered:

  1. Navajo Language
  2. Zuni Language
  3. Pottery Maker
  4. Dream Catcher
  5. Story Teller
  6. Rug Weaver
  7. Native American Music Appreciation

Eligible Students:

  • Eligible Native American students who attend Albuquerque Public Schools
  • Grades:  Kindergarten to 12th Grades

Middle School Robotics Classes being offered: Dates June 4, 2018 to June 28, 2018.

Monday to Thursday, 8:00AM to 12:00PM

Eligible Students:

  • Eligible Native American Students who attend Albuquerque Public Schools
  • Grades:  7th and 8th

Parents will need to come to the Indian Education Department office to register their children.  We are located at 6400 Uptown Blvd NE, room 458 on the fourth floor.  Registration is open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.  Registration is on a first come basis.  Enrollment is limited.  Contact Ms. Elizabeth Trujillo at 505-884-6392 or by email at Trujillo_eli@aps.edu  for any questions you may have.

Students enrolled in APS and the Indian Education Program are eligible to receive school supplies at the beginning of each school year (while supplies last).
