2014 Summer Cultural Enrichment Program

Registration will begin March 24, 2014 for eligible Native American Students in grades K-12 who are currently enrolled in APS. The program will begin June 2 through June 30, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday through Friday. Location: John Adams Middle School 5401 Glenrio Road NW

Students must have a 506 Form and a CIB on file with Indian Education Department.  The Summer Cultural Enrichment Program will consist of the following classes: Navajo Language, Bread Making and Native Foods, Pottery Making, Storytelling, Rug Weaving, Dream Catchers, Art, Drum Making, Dancing and Singing.  NO TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.  Parents will be-required to transport and pick up their child/ren. Indian Education Department 505-884-6392.

Fall 2016 Dual Credit Courses offered by Institute of American Indian Arts
APS and the Indian Education Department is partnering with IAIA to provide Native Language Courses to Junior and Seniors.
When: July 18, 2016 for the following schools: Cochiti ES, Duranes ES, Eugene Field ES, Mary Ann Binford ES, Mark Twain ES, Onate ES, and Susie Rayos Marmon ES.
