Final Steps

Once you have passed the background check you will be asked to bring in your completed paperwork. Carefully review the information listed below. You will be required to complete certain tasks based upon your position at APS.

number_01 After 10 working days, return to Background and Fingerprinting to obtain background results. You may contact us at 889-4864 with questions or concerns.

number_02 After you have passed the background check,  pick up paperwork for Employee Benefits in office 115E. Employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for employee benefits.

 number_03Check in with the main receptionist. They will contact your Employee Data Specialist. The specialist will use your completed paperwork to enter your information into the employee data system.

    • Packet of Employment Forms
    • Identification documents (explained on the I-9 Form)

 number_04The date you can report to your worksite will be set. In the meantime, review the following tasks and work on those required for your job.

Your APS Email Account

Every APS employee will be assigned an APS email account when they are hired. Employees are expected to use this account for APS related business.

number_01 An HR staffer will inform you of your:

  • Employee number
  • Email account
  • Username for your email account
  • Temporary Password for your email account  

number_04 Login to APS Email https://webmail.aps.edu

  • Type the letter "e" and your 6-digit Employee ID in the User name field. Don't put a space between the "e" and your employee ID. If your employee ID has fewer than 6 digits, add leading zeros to make it 6 digits long.
  • Type your password, and click the Sign in button.

Online Paycheck Stubs and Leave Balances

With the Lawson Employee Self Service (ESS) system, you'll be able to see your leave balances, your insurance provider information, beneficiary information, and more! Lawson Employee Self Serve (ESS) System

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides counseling services for APS employees and their families for physical, mental health, job-related issues, marriage, family, career counseling, and resources and referrals. All services are free and provided in a confidential setting. Employee Assistance Program

Office of Equal Opportunity Services

If a student, employee, or parent/legal guardian on behalf of a student believes that he/she has been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, etc., they may file an internal complaint with the APS Office of Equal Opportunity Services (OEOS).
