Charging Policy

Students may charge up to ten meals at elementary schools, five meals at Middle Schools and two meals at High Schools. Once the charging limit is met students will be offered a complementary meal consisting of a cheese sandwich, beverage and fruit or vegetable. Learn more about the APS Food & Nutrition Service Meal Charging Policy by clicking Here.

Students receive one meal at their normal status either paid at the paid price rate,  reduced at the USDA set price for the meal or free for those who qualify for free meals.  Any additional meal or food must be paid for at the a’ la carte price.   For example a free student would receive the first meal free but wanted an extra milk so would pay $.40 for the milk.  A paid student who wanted two meals would receive the first meal at $2.00 but would need to pay the a’la carte price for second meal.
