A new way for Albuquerque Public School students to have input on what appears on their lunch menu is happening through an innovative program. Some of the students at eight schools throughout the district will be voting on the new healthy items in taste tests in the classroom.

After School Snack Program

After school snacks help ensure that children receive the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow.  Organized, structured, and supervised programs that provide snacks allow children to think and behave better, and help them make the grade!

After School Snack Program Information

PRIOR TO RECEIVING SNACKS

Program officials, who will be responsible for both the distribution of snacks and the completion of all documentation, are to complete the appropriate After School Snack Site Training Module listed below.  All Program Officials must also complete an After School Snack Program Review listed below.  This is an annual requirement

AFTER SCHOOL SNACK PROGRAM CHECKLIST

  • Complete an After School Snack On Line Training Module.
  • On School Site Needs 2 Program Officials.
  • Off School Site needs 4 Program Officials.
  • All Program Officials must complete and submit an After School Snack Program      Questionnaire Review.
  • All After School Snack Programs must complete and submit an After School Snack Program Application
  • One Application per program

  • Program Site Leader must complete and submit an After School Snack Application.
  • Approval within 2 to 3 working days if After School Program Questionnaire Review for each Program Official has been verified.

    NOTE:  SUBMITTING THE FOLLOWING BY E-MAIL:

    • After School Snack Program Application: must include

    Electronic Signature.

    • After School Snack Program Questionnaire Review.

    E-mail button will work if official has a local e-mail client on their computer.  If using a school lab or library PC and an e-mail system like hotmail, Gmail, APS. Webmail, etc., you will have to save the document to your desktop and attach it to an e-mail.
