APS administrative offices will be closed July 1-4. There is a 4-day weekend scheduled for the 4

Because 2016 includes a Leap Year Day, there is an extra day for employees on 248- or 260-day contracts. In order to avoid extending contracts and placing additional pressure on our budget, the decision was made to keep the contract days the same, which means an adjustment is necessary to ensure that staff will not be working an extra day for which they would not be compensated., and it was decided to make the adjustment at the beginning of the fiscal year on July 1, 2016. This creates the 4-day weekend since the following Monday is a paid holiday for Independence Day. This adjustment makes July 1, 2016, a non-work, non-paid day.

That adjustment will be made at the beginning of the fiscal year on July 1, 2016. This creates a four-day weekend since the following Monday is a paid holiday for Independence Day.

This adjustment makes July 1, 2016, a non-work, non-paid day.

The July 8th paycheck will be for nine days rather than 10 days for staff on a 248- or 260-day contract schedule.

Because summer school is in session on July 1, 2016, 248- and 260-day staff required to work for summer school must submit a timesheet in order to receive payment for time worked on this day. Look for this payment on your July 22nd paycheck.

July 22 is the next payday, and will be for the 10 weekdays during the July 4 – July 15 pay period.
