Sierra Vista Elementary is holding its 50th anniversary celebration from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at the school at 10220 Paseo del Norte NW. All former students and employees are invited.

There will be a brief ceremony, followed by the school's annual Author's Symposium as well as a wax museum put on by fifth-graders.
