“Changing Lives…Making a Difference Where It Counts” is the theme of a gala concert fundraiser for the New Mexico Philharmonic that is sponsored by Mayor Richard J. Berry and organized by the City’s Cultural Services Department. The event, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 5:30 p.m., will raise funds for the Philharmonic’s educational programs that serve our youth from kindergarten through high school. Internationally-renowned concert violinist Rachel Barton Pine will be the star of the evening. The versatile artist will perform Latin, Rock and Brahms, accompanied by the New Mexico Philharmonic.
