La Mesa ES Community Health Fair

Students, families and the community are invited to attend the free health fair from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the school, 7500 Copper NE.

La Mesa Elementary Community Health Fair will promote and educate students, families and community members about current health issues and healthy activities. The event is free and will include a variety of informational booths, healthy activities and healthy foods. There will be 30 booths offering information and health checks. Participants can take part in an informational scavenger hunt ending with healthy foods to eat and enjoy. There will be a variety of healthy activities including a tennis demonstration and a soccer demonstration by members of the UNM Women’s Soccer team. There will be a stress reduction and yoga session. There will even be a bike rodeo with the opportunity to win a free children’s bike. This is a free event and the community is invited to attend.
