Del Carrillo, a long-time social studies teacher at Valley High School, is featured in the documentary “Grab” about the little-documented tradition in the villages of the Laguna Pueblo tribe, who annually throw water and food items from the rooftops of homes to people standing below.

A screening of the film will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 2401 12th St. NW. Carrillo will participate in a question and answer session following the screening.

The film is directed by award-winning director Billy Luther and is an official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Its screening is accompanied by an exhibition at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center that runs through Nov. 6.
