Randy Castillo went from the Mustang drumline to the heavy metal stage to the Smithsonian Institute in a successful career spanning four decades but cut short by cancer.

Now, the accomplished musician who played drums for Ozzy Osbourne and Mötley Crüe is being memorialized with the naming of the West Mesa High School performing arts center. The Randy Castillo PAC will be dedicated in a ceremony Tuesday, Dec. 18, beginning at 4 p.m. with a meet and greet, ribbon cutting and reception.West Mesa is located at  6701 Fortuna Rd. NW (map).
