Two acting workshops will be held for students in the 8th-12th grades from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 12 and March 26, at 7 Bar Elementary School, 4501 7 Bar Loop NW. The workshops are free for students who have an interest in acting but who are not yet professionals or affiliated with an agency.

Professional actor Johnnie Hector –who has appeared in such films as “Brothers,” “Hamlet 2” and “No Country for Old Men” and such TV shows as “Crash” and “Wildfire” – will conduct the workshops. They are being sponsored by ACTSO (the Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics), a non-profit education outreach program. ACTSO workshops represent an endeavor to help students improve their talents whether or not they compete.

Students must confirm their attendance by calling 818-209-2722 or sending an email to johnniehector@hotmail.com.

They need to leave their name, fine arts interest and grade. There are limited spots available.
