More news about the United Way Campaign:

Thanks to committed APS employees, the 2010  United Way campaign, run by the Education Foundation, netted more than $280,000 for the greater Albuquerque community, a record.

We're shooting for another record in 2011. The Foundation will spearhead the effort again this year. Employees should begin receiving United Way pledge forms sometime in September. Employees may give to the charity of their choice, including the Foundation, which moved all the donations it received to the Horizon Awards, a competitive grant for innovative teaching in four major areas: Fine Arts, Science/Technology/Engineering/Math, Literacy and Middle/High School Activities.
