Sandia Area Scholarship Essay Contest

Sandia Area Federal Credit Union will proudly be awarding one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to New Mexico high school seniors for the 2011-2012 academic year. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement, and a 1,000-word essay.

Essay topic: Explain why financial education and financial literacy are important for our society and share your own experiences with these important life skills.

Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 14, 2011.
