Verizon Awards $25,000 for STEM Horizon Initiatives

The funding will support STEM projects, specifically those targeting robotics and coding.

The APS Education Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from Verizon to help expand the impact and outreach of the STEM Horizons initiative for teachers, students and classrooms throughout the district.

This opportunity will enable our Foundation to share best STEM teaching practices beyond a single student, class, or grade level; and open doors for students to actively learn and engage in real-world experiences so that they may obtain future science, engineering and tech career opportunities. Award funding will be allocated to selected single and multi-classroom STEM projects, specifically targeted towards robotics and coding activities.
