Support APS Kids by Shopping at Whole Foods Thursday

The Whole Foods Market at the corner of Wyoming and Academy NE will donate 5 percent of its earnings on Thursday, Jan. 17, to the APS Education Foundation.

Stop by Whole Foods Market for a cup of coffee in the morning, a sandwich at lunch or a bag of groceries after work on Thursday, Jan. 17, and help students through the APS Education Foundation.

The healthy grocery store at the corner of Wyoming and Academy will donate 5 percent of its sales on Thursday to the Foundation, which raises money for APS students and classrooms in four key areas: Fine Arts, Middle/High School Activities, Literacy and Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.

Whole Foods sponsors Community Giving days to support various non-profit and educational organizations like the APS Education Foundation at its stores across the nation.

"Whole Foods has made it so easy to help raise money for our students and our classrooms," said APS Education Foundation Executive Director Phill Casaus. "All you have to do is stop by Thursday and pick up a few items you probably need anyway, and you'll be supporting academic programs in our schools."

Whole Foods, 5815 Wyoming Blvd NE, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
