"Funny, Smart, Nice" Teacher Honored

Brenda Schneider, a second grade teacher at Painted Sky Elementary School, is the Pepsi/APS Education Foundation Teacher of the Month.

Watch the video of students in Ms. Schneider's 2nd grade class explaining why she is the Teacher of the Month.

Who better to talk about an honored teacher than her students?

Brenda Schneider is the latest APS teacher recognized as the teacher of the month by Pepsi and the APS Education Foundation. Rather than asking Ms. Schneider to describe herself, we let her students talk about why she deserves the honor.

Principal Erica Hidalgo put together this video featuring the students in Ms. Schneider's second grade class, who describe her as funny, nice, and smart.

"She tells us everything," summed up one student.

Pepsi, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, is recognizing APS teachers for their outstanding contribution to the classroom, school and community.  The Foundation randomly selects one APS school each month, and that school’s principal or staff chooses a teacher to be honored. The teacher receives a $100 check from Pepsi and acknowledgement on the APS website, Facebook page and electronic billboards at Cibola, Del Norte and Eldorado high schools and Wilson Stadium.
