Congratulations to Uriah Martinez, 5th grader at Lavaland Elementary School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

About Uriah:

Uriah Martinez is a model student and a natural leader. Currently he is the student council president at Lavaland Elementary School. Last year he served as school historian. Uriah has also been a member of the school’s Safety Patrol for the past two years. Uriah is proud of his Navajo heritage. He speaks English, Navajo and some Spanish.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:
