Congratulations to Saul Esquibel, 5th grader at Mary Ann Binford Elementary, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

About Saul:

Saul is an outgoing and friendly student. Saul is a strong reader and good mathematician frequently helping his peers understand new concepts. Since Saul is bilingual, he is especially good at helping both Spanish and English speakers. He loves to help others and offers assistance to teachers and adults throughout the school as well as his peers.

Favorite subject:

Saul’s favorite subject is math but he loves physical education as well.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:

Saul loves all sports and plays both in and out of school. Soccer is his favorite and this year his team had a winning record. At school he arrives early to help deliver breakfasts to first grade classrooms.
