Meet Nolan Kuhn, an 8th grader at James Monroe Middle School.

Nolan’s school experience: I am really enjoying James Monroe because of the great teachers who have taught me to value education and hard work—especially Mr. Sacoman, my 8th grade Algebra I teacher. He is the most encouraging teacher I have had. He inspires me to work hard in math.

What Nolan’s teachers say about him: He consistently performs at the top of his class. Despite his high level of success academically, he is extremely humble. He does not flaunt his success and high achievement level to other students.

Plans for the future: As a student athlete at heart, I like sports. I enjoy playing baseball, basketball, football and hanging out with family and friends. I hope become a professional baseball player one day. My family is very important to me and they support me in everything I do.
