Student of the Week Neel Patel

5th grader at Mission Avenue Elementary

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Neel’s principal said about him: “Neel is an outgoing child who is happy being an individual. He does what is right and will forgo what is popular. He is well liked by his peers, teachers, and parents. He is a responsible student who earns good grades, works to help out others, is trustworthy, and overall a responsible individual. He is president of our school Student Council and is always readily available to give up his fun time for a school cause. He is a student who will be successful as an adult with his drive and determination.”

Favorite subject?  Math is his favorite subject because there are many challenging problems to overcome, as he would say.  He always maintains good grades in math and all subjects.

Hobbies and activities: Origami, drawing, archery. He likes all sports including basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and flag football.
