Student of the Week: Melinda Clibon

Congratulations to Melinda Clibon, an 8th grader at Cleveland Middle School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

Tell us a little about your school experience:

My school experience has been really good. I love my teachers. They have helped me a lot with learning. They each have helped me to be better organized and a good note taker. This helps me to study and make better grades. The teachers have a special way or touching my life with their teaching.

What is your favorite subject?

My favorite subjects are science and math. I really enjoy participating in the school science fair each year. I am in AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) and like this class also.

What are your hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school?

I am a member of the American History club and looking forward to going on the 8th grade trip. At school I also like to help the teachers. At home my hobbies are swimming, drawing anime, and listening to music.
