Meliana Gomez is a hardworking, dedicated and responsible young person with a big, caring heart. She is intelligent and creative. She is a leader in and out of the classroom. She is also the Vice President of her Gifted class.

What’s this student’s favorite subject?
Meliana states that she loves participating in the Gifted reading, and math classes.  “I love to read because I get to think about the characters and make my own movie in my mind.” Meliana has written and illustrated three children’s books and she has written several plays for her gifted class. Meliana’s artwork was a second place winner in 2013 in the Hispanic Heritage Art Contest sponsored by Sandia Labs.
