Congratulations to Makayla Carrasco, a 3rd grader at MacArthur Elementary School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

About Makayla:

According to Makayla’s teacher, she is a student who has excellent behavior in class and on the playground. She never gets into trouble and gives 110% in all aspects of her school work. She is always willing to help her peers and adults and has excellent collaboration skills. She has a great attitude and a wonderful disposition.

Favorite subject:

Reading and writing.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:

Reading, art, sewing, coloring and singing.
