Student of the Week: Lynda Carter

Congratulations to Lynda Carter, a senior at Valley High School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation!

Tell us a little about your school experience:
My school experience was very educational and exciting because I not only learned about core subjects such as math, history, science and English, but I also learned a lot about myself, others and who I am supposed to be. Throughout the years I’ve been in school, I have experienced victories and challenges and it was these times that I have come as far as I am now. My school experience was such a positive time and I would do it all again if I could!

What’s your favorite course?
Ever since elementary school, I have always loved reading and writing so for me English was always my favorite subject. To me, reading is a way where you can see a situation form someone else’s perspective and writing is a chance to express how you feel.

What are your plans for the future?
In the near future I plan to attend college, preferably UNM, and I aim to study law. In the long run I wish to be an attorney. I have been interested in law since my freshmen year when I joined mock trial at Valley high. Overall, in the future I plan to be successful and happy.
