Student of the Week Lucas Evans

7th grader at Desert Ridge Middle School

What Lucas says about his school experience: "My school experience has been great. My teachers are excellent in exposing me to new subjects, looking at new ways of solving equations and helping me learn an instrument. I have had the opportunity to participate in exciting extracurricular activities like flag football, basketball and Harry Potter Camp. I am also looking forward to my first band field trip to Hummingbird Music Camp."

Favorite subject: "My favorite subject is language arts because I've always enjoyed reading. I loved Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, but my language arts teachers have shown me different series and new books."

Favorite hobbies and activities: Track, cross country, band and baseball
