Student of the Week: Krista Nash

Congratulations to Krista Nash, a 4th grader at Seven Bar Elementary School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

What can a parent or teacher say about this student?

Parent: Krista is sweet, smart, and special. Her grandmother and aunt are both breast cancer survivors. Krista heard about “Locks of Love” and decided to grow her hair out so that she could donate her hair to “Locks of Love.” She recently cut 10 inches of her hair and donated it.

Teacher: Krista is friendly, hardworking, and has a great attitude! Krista is new to the school but her friendliness and great attitude helped her to make friends quickly.

Favorite subject:

Krista’s favorite subject is science. She loves doing science projects because they involve cool stuff and you learn a lot.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:

Krista loves recess and enjoys reading at school and outside of school. Krista is involved in gymnastics and loves to draw at home. She usually draws horses.
