Student of the Week: Kaitlin Mack

Congratulations to Kaitlin Mack, a 5th grader at Comanche Elementary, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

What can a parent or teacher say about this student?

Parents: Kaitlin is a very motivated, thoughtful and fun-loving child. She has a great sense of humor and likes to make people smile.

Mrs. Hagengruber & Mrs. Shepherd: Kaitlin is an amazing all-around person. She is a great leader who is always thinking of others. Last winter, Kaitlin was touched when she heard about the kids affected by Hurricane Sandy. She wanted to do something to help, so she, with very little guidance from the teachers, headed up a school-wide drive to collect supplies for Hurricane Sandy victims. Kaitlin is also a top academic student and a very loyal friend. She is a wonderful person, and it is a joy to have her in our class.

Favorite subject:

Kaitlin’s favorite subject is language arts. She loves to read books and write stories.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:

Kaitlin loves to participate in different sports. She is a talented soccer player and has been playing competitively for five years. She also loves to perform whether it is reciting a poem in front of the class, acting in a play or dancing in the school talent show.
