Student of the Week: Jillian Miller

Fifth grade at Eubank Academy of Fine Arts Elementary School.

Congratulations to Jillian Miller, a fifth grade student from Eubank Academy of Fine Arts Elementary School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation!

What can a parent or teacher say about this student? 
Mr. Joe Perez, Jillian’s teacher, says, "Jillian is responsible and can be counted on to fulfill all her academic and social responsibilities. She meets class deadlines, turns in homework consistently and is trustworthy to follow through with job duties. A person that is going to be in a leadership role must be a natural leader. Jillian is just that. Jillian leads by example and shows a sense of fairness. Jillian treats her peers and teachers with respect and kindness."

What’s this student’s favorite subject?
Jillian’s favorite subject in school is reading.

What are this student’s hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school?
When Jillian is not at school she is Ice Skating. She has skated for a few years now, and absolutely loves it. At school, Jillian is a peer mediator. She has the necessary skills to mediate situations in a fair, consistent manner.
