Student of the Week: Jenna Danielson

Congratulations to Jenna Danielson, an eighth grader at Roosevelt Middle School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

Tell us a little about your school experience.

I started at A. Montoya in second grade when we moved here from Montana. I am attending Roosevelt. I enjoyed participating in the Science Fair. We got to work with a friend and won first place. We studied “Which parachute falls the fastest?” “I would like to use a large parachute that falls slowly so I could enjoy the view.”

What’s your favorite subject?

My favorite subject is math. I am good at it and it is fun. Math helps me in my everyday life. I have thought about being a teacher, but I’m not sure at this time.

What are your hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school?

My hobbies include sports and music. I play piano and am learning to play the guitar. I am also learning to play volleyball. I might start soccer and join the track team.
