Student of the Week Jaqueline Montalvo

Highland High School senior.

What Jaqueline has to say:

"My high school experience has been very fun and exciting. I’ve been involved in clubs, school events and sports. My first two years of high school I was a cheerleader on the varsity cheer team and my junior year I joined a lot of clubs.

Now as a senior I’m the student body secretary, president of the Women Student Union and a member of Key Club, MECHA and National Honor Society.

Throughout the years, I’ve gotten more involved in school and I’ve met amazing people. I try to focus in school and I currently have straight As. My classes at this point are all great, but I like AP Art History and AP English Literature. It’s nice to see amazing art and learn from different cultures, and it’s amazing to read interesting novels in English.

I plan to go to college and become a registered nurse. In my future I will be happy as long as I’m doing something good for other sand for myself."
