Student of the Week: Janize Castillo

Congratulations to Janize Castillo, a fourth grader at La Luz Elementary School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation!

What can a parent or teacher say about this student?
Janize is a well-rounded student. She excels in all subjects, and her New Year's resolution is to use her imagination to be a better writer. She loves soccer and can often be seen playing it at recess.  She is also a great teacher, helping the little kids learn soccer and other games at recess. She is a leader throughout the school. She is on the Peer Mediation Team and is always there to help anyone in need.
