Student of the Week: Janai Campos

12th Grade at Albuquerque High School

Congratulations to Janai Campos, a twelfth grader at Albuquerque HS, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation!

Tell us a little about your school experience:
Attending Albuquerque High School has been an amazing experience.  All of my teachers have taught me to believe in myself and respect who I am.  School has helped me mature into a productive member of the community and has taught me to be confident in my abilities.

What’s your favorite course:
Student Senate is my favorite course because it gives me the opportunity to become a better leader and connect with my school and the community.  Through Student Senate, I have been able to experience life changing events that involve volunteering with the community in a positive manner.

What are your plans for the future:
After graduation, I plan to attend Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and study Sociology/Human Relations.   I will continue to volunteer with MADD and be a strong advocate.
