Student of the Week Jacque Irakoze, Alamosa Kindergartener

How Jacque's teacher describes him: Jacque is a leader and has a great sense of humor. He is always eager and looking for opportunities to learn. He is friendly and outgoing. He is currently being tested for the gifted program.

How Jacque's parents describe him (through a Kirundi interpreter): Jack is very humble. He likes school. Even when Jacque is sick he wants to go to school. One day Jacque didn’t look like he was feeling well and insisted he go to school. Jacque is a great kid who always cooperates.

Favorite subject: Jacque's favorite subject is math because he likes to count and add numbers. His mom said she didn't know Jacque likes math because he always reads at home.

Hobbies and activities: Jacque loves to cook with his family, his favorite meal is chicken and rice. He likes this meal because it is his mom's favorite. Jacque has a drum that he likes to play. He is always studying and wanting to learn.
