Student of the Week Fatima Muniz

6th grader at Hayes Middle School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

Fatima’s school experience:  I like Hayes Middle School a lot because it’s bilingual and I like bilingual schools. I also like to learn a lot of new things. I have met lots of people and have made new friends. This school is filled with amazing and successful people. This is my experience.

Favorite subject: My favorite subject is science. I like science because it is bilingual.  Besides, I like doing a lot of experiments. I learn new things. This is my favorite subject.

Hobbies and activities: My first hobby is playing soccer. I like to pass the ball and make goals. My second hobby is drawing. I like doing this because I become more experienced in drawing. My third hobby is swimming. I like swimming a lot because I could chill in the fresh water on a hot day. These are my favorite hobbies.

Verizon Awards $25,000 for STEM Horizon Initiatives
The funding will support STEM projects, specifically those targeting robotics and coding.
