News from the Foundation

Student of the Week Ezra Cheema

5th grader at Ventana Ranch Elementary School.

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Ezra’s teachers say about him: Ezra is a pleasure to work with. He is an enthusiastic, and inquisitive learner. Ezra demonstrates a lot of pride in his accomplishments in school this year. He has become a serious student while maintaining his great sense of humor. Ezra's attitude towards school and learning has taken a complete 180 this year. He is so enthusiastic about his work and I could not be more proud of his accomplishments.

Favorite subject: Science because we do a lot of activities. Sometimes it’s hard but it’s fun.

Hobbies and activities: He likes to play soccer and he loves to build stuff with different materials.  He hopes to start wrestling and he is looking forward to playing drums in middle school.
