Student of the Week Esperanza Biggs

A junior at Valley High School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

A little about Espy's school experience: Espy is a member of the National Honor Society, Valley Academy, Student Senate and the Vikettes dance team. She is junior class president and has led numerous community service activities. She is a recent recipient of the APD Chief’s Cup for community service. She also takes classes at the Career Enrichment Center. "The teachers at Valley are amazing and the North Valley has a strong sense of community which has had a positive influence on my high school experience,” she said.

Espy's plans after high school: "I plan on getting my doctorate in neonatal nursing and working in the NICU. I plan on going out of state for college and to continue dancing and volunteering."
