Fall 2012 Horizon Grant Takes Lew Wallace ES Students Around the World
Students in the LWES gifted program read the Jules Verne classic and prepared a global experience to be shared by the entire school. The multi-disciplinary project-based experience included reading and discussing the novel and researching places Phineas Fogg and Passepartout visited on their 1872 journey.

About Cassandra:

Cassandra is a hard working student who excels at everything she puts her mind to. She has the drive to do well and it reflects in her daily performance in class.  Cassandra is very outgoing and always willing to participate. She is well liked by her peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Her joyful personality can bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Favorite subject?

Cassandra’s favorite subject in school is reading. She enjoys reading the Junie B. Jones books.

Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school?

Cassandra likes science. She enjoys playing soccer and playing with her little brother, Paul.
