Student of the Week: Bailey Lindsey

Congratulations to Bailey Lindsey, a senior at Cibola High School, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

October 19, 2011

Tell us a little about your school experience:

This year I decided to take school by the horns.  I thought to myself, “I want to leave my mark on Cibola High School and have no regrets whatsoever!”  It has, so far, been the most challenging but most rewarding school year of my entire life.  I set up my schedule to challenge my intellect, joined or continued some of the amazing clubs offered here at Cibola, dedicated myself to perform to the best of my ability in the sporting events I love, and, most importantly, planned for the unexpected!  The unexpected things keep me going!  They are challenges I have to solve and get through. Much like this year, they have helped me grow as a person and become a servant to my community and school.

What’s your favorite course?

I don’t have a specific course that I love more then the others.  I am up for a challenge and any subject that makes me learn I love.  Right now, that’s pretty much all of them.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan on going to college, only I’m not sure where, and earn a degree in a field of work I enjoy.  I plan on getting married and fulfilling my duty as a wife and mother.  If I am supposed to I will go on a mission for my church.
