Student of the Week Ashley Silva

5th grader at Wherry Elementary School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Ashley’s teacher says about her: “Ashley is a hardworking student who is a self-motivated learner. She doesn’t quit if something is difficult. If she is faced with a problem academically or socially, she finds a way to solve it. She helps her teachers and peers without being asked. She is caring for all those she comes into contact with. She takes the initiative to complete additional work at home. She has finished the entire Harry Potter series within the school year. She gives 100% effort in all activities. She is also involved in our school’s Running Club.”

Favorite subject: Ashley’s favorite subject is writing.

Hobbies and activities: She likes to read, write and run.
