Student of the Week Anessa Apodaca, Mountain View Elementary

Sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

April 7, 2015

Meet Anessa Apodaca, a fifth grader at Mountain View Elementary

What Anessa’s parents have to say: Anessa really enjoys school and is striving to get perfect attendance. She also loves to read and write. I love to read her stories--she has such a creative imagination.

Favorite subject: Writing is my favorite subject because I can create my own stories and give all my thoughts into it. Kris Gallen, Anessa’s teacher, said she is a step ahead on learning new concepts and goes out of her way to help out her classmates.

Hobbies & activities: I like to ride my bike or do art. I also like to do ‘Zentangles’ (abstract drawing using repetitive patterns).
